STEPS
1.) Specify which muse! (Or you could random I guess?) You can also specify verse (AU, etc.)
2.) Give me a picture prompt! Or you can write your own text prompt but picture prompts are pretty easy... OR you could just post with a char and I can find a picture prompt.
3.) HAVE AT IT!
Muselist is here, but I am not the best at keeping it up to date.

Here he was to meet with delegates from other nations, Orc, Forsaken, Dwarf and Human emissaries among them. The Sin'dorei at this point was still considered a neutral entity between the Horde and the Alliance, though that was mostly in name only at this point. Yet another reason he had returned to Silvermoon was to officially sanction the alliance between the Horde and the Sin'dorei, which would result in officially cutting ties with the humans of the Alliance once and for all. It was an alliance for the best, bolstered by the ties the Sin'dorei had between their Forsaken brother and sisters, as Kael had not soon forgotten his imprisonment at the hands of Grand Master Garithos.
For now though, he had to play the part of the respectful host, as he displayed all the proper etiquette and courtesies to the throng that had come to greet him upon his return. Dressed in his full court regalia, crimson robes with gold accents, Kael'thas was a sight to behold, and undoubtedly Lord of the Blood Elves. The three verdant spheres also told of his stature, bright orbs overflowing with energy that circled around his head.
He was engaged in tedious banter with the Orc Emissary, Zasgrom, when he saw her at the back of the crowd. It was perhaps her hair that had caught his attention, so similar to the same shade of a love once unrequited. She was human as well, but with features that were more decidedly Elven than the typical brutish characteristics of many humans. For a second he locked eyes with her, his own unnatural green eyes piercing and vibrant, before he returned to the conversation he had ignored.
"Lok'Tar Ogar." He replied to the Orc which effectively ended their conversation, as he managed to make even the guttural Orcish sound almost eloquent. The procession was now moving again and so was he, their next stop a welcoming banquet. The woman in the crowd remained on his mind however, a constant thought amid the drone of politics and courtesies.
It was to his surprise then, that Kael'thas spotted her again at the banquet hall, seated not with the human delegates, but with the few representatives from the Kirin Tor. At this point she was more than just a pretty face, for the Kirin Tor were decidedly insular, only holding the company of those who were gifted in magic. A quick exchange with one of his attendants revealed her name, Anathema Device, but nothing more. She had his full attention now, and to truly learn more about her would require a one on one conversation, something that was not possible at such a gathering.
The banquet concluded, Kael'thas made his farewells, excusing himself to the private courtyards adjacent to the banquet hall. It was easy enough to slip her a note (through one of his attendants of course), asking her to meet him in the orchard. Here they would have privacy, the entrance protected by the Royal Guard.
beautiful trees are the best way to her heart <3
It took twice reading through it, the words making sense in the back of her mind with a sudden, vicious click, and a third to make sure that the elegant script truly said what it did, Anathema reading it low under her breath before she finally turned around, and scanned the sea of faces and eerily vibrant eyes still surrounding them for one man in particular.
Her alarm must have shown on her face without her meaning for it to, because Khadgar, ever perceptive man that he was, looked at her with questioning concern while one of the archmages droned on beside him. And with any luck, he would continue to drone on - lying to her master was nigh impossible, even when she put the effort into trying to, but being locked in conversation as he was would make it infinitely easier to leave without too many questions being asked of why.
And with her most apologetic smile, and a quickly mouthed 'I'll be back', she excused herself from the table, gone into the crowd before anyone could call her back.
It was unfitting for an apprentice like herself to be without a ranked magi on business like this. But in the end, no one could blame her for wanting to go out and explore the city. Especially one as beautiful as Silvermoon, and she could hardly stay by her peers' side for the entirely of their stay without taking in sights she was very likely to never see again.
And as with the note still held in her hand as she exited the banquet hall and stepped outside, she could hardly have one of said peers hovering over her if the requested meeting was somehow true. She'd seen him in the procession, of course - had found it hard to not stare, the ruler of the Blood Elves every bit as regal as rumors had described him. She hadn't even shied away, when his eyes met her's. And her curiosity had always been such a damnably hard thing to ignore.
Though from the moment she arrived at the entrance to the orchard, that curiosity was almost dropped to the wayside at the sight that spread out before her. Silvermoon in itself was a beautiful city, yes, but here...
The light streamed down like gold through the trees, in a way she'd never seen back home. And she couldn't help the smile as she turned to take it all in while she walked, for half a moment forgetting why she had ventured out there in the first place.
"And they're truly going to ask me to leave this place now that I've seen it..."

GIMME ANYONE
late what is late //was searching the universe for sushi
It was one such adventure that Whis found himself looking down at the apparent corpse of a dead dog.]
My, my.
[ He's not too off put though, and he's curious to all the daggers it's impaled with.]
we are both late!!
So he goes to retrieve a spade and some flowers got the dog, only to return and find an incredibly strangely-coloured person standing over its body.

[ Even at a seedy bar like this, Alex stood out. His attire fit in well enough ( even if the natives hadn't caught on to the black and red leather trend), but the fact that he had no drinks in front of him was odd in and of itself. Moreover, his expression wasn't exactly friendly, and he brushes off pretty much anyone who tries to make small talk with him. The only reason he was here was for some half-assed reconnaissance, but it probably would have been better if he had done so in disguise...]

Daria sat on the other end of the bar, it was getting late and there were fewer natives. Perfect time for avoiding people, she thought. No one bothered the girl wearing the glasses too focused on her book to look at anyone else. She didn't wear a shirt showing her cleavage, nor did she have the bubbly aura of a serving girl wanting to show a guy a good time.
She looked the same as ever, she wasn't changing that. No matter the "mission".]

He moves over to her, offering her a nod as his way of saying hello.]
Interesting place for a book. [Said the guy with neither a drink nor anything else in front of him.]

[ Here at least, you could see the stars.
It had been a few weeks since he had left NYZ, a few weeks which he had spent traveling, looking for something that had meaning. It had been a trip, to say the least. But for now he had a few moments of solitude, something he preferred, even if he would rather be watching the crowds of the city move about. No one would dare come out in such cold weather, not to mention the location was remote.
And so he stood, on the highest point of the bridge, staring down at a reflection that was only a few weeks old. Maybe he should have bothered to shift into a form that was more suited for the winter, but he was tired of pretending to fit in.]

Rapunzel's never been to the West before. He'd only ever heard stories and watched what had been displayed on television, and the opportunity to see for himself had been one he couldn't resist even if Jack had been against his going alone. He doesn't see why though, so far it's been...nice. Ordinary. People still fail to remember him of course and he's stopped more than once on account of his odd appearance and long hair, but it's been fun.
And on evenings like tonight he can watch the humans there in passive silence from a little ways off, not intending to intrude; they wouldn't recall him later anyway. ]

He takes a few steps, intending to get a quick look at the other person, but he winds up staring instead. Guess he wasn't the only one who wasn't really dressed for the weather, not to mention that the boy's hair would turn heads even in New York. Humans.
His spot no longer being solitary, Alex starts to make his way towards the other, intending to walk past him, deeper into the wilderness. He stops when he's close enough and pauses just long enough to say:]
Town's that way. [ Though he doesn't give a direction while saying so, and he's not really trying to be helpful-- he just wants to be alone.]
no subject
But as misfortune would have it, that won't be the case for Alex now. All it takes is a crackle from above--a strange void of purple lightning-like energy, and out of the sky...falls this shortie. Barely 5'5", wild blonde hair, and an outfit that doesn't at all fit the times. And that's not even getting into the very odd black, furry mass perched on his shoulder even as he winds up in a heap on the ground, grunting bodily and slowly picking himself up. ]
Ow ow ow... Geez!

What the- [ At least he managed to step out of the way so the kid didn't land on him.]

How did you find me?
And I'm fine, Cherry & co., been busy. You're not sending these to everyone are you?
Thanks for the food. [ Just going to try to send this letter back in return and hope it makes it.]

Not everyone, but most people.
You're welcome. Are you eating alright? Sometimes it's hard when you're on the move.

[ Killing the near powerless human was the easy part of the whole plan. Getting away with the murder would be more difficult, as Kael had never concerned himself with such things. Shadows and disguises were for rogues and spies, and yet here they were.]
I suppose burning the human to ashes would be too simple a solution, would it not?
no subject
[And Illidan just kicked the body over with his foot. Still unsure why this had to be done so cloak and dagger. It was only a human. They die all the time. What made this one so special, that they had to be sneaky about it?
Really, his plan had been to kill it, leave it there, and walk away.]
no subject
It would certainly eliminate most, if not all traces of what occurred. Yet normal humans are not capable of such a thing. Some of them view us as suspicious already. [ For once, he's trying to think first and fire later. Not that he really thought that the rest of the crew could take them, especially if they were united as they were now, but still.]

[ He appeared as he always did, fading into existence all at once from nothing. The sight in front of his eyes was something to behold, even for an entity as old as he. The very universe pulsed and contracted, blues and purples turning into reds and yellows, as it twisted in on itself.]
They have failed, Yeshua. [ There was no emotion in the words, just a simple statement of fact. Yet for chaos it would be obvious, by the slight way he shifted his corporeal body to the left, that Wilhelm was worried.]
Is this what you, and the humans truly desired? You have your free will and choice, at the expense of everything else.
no subject
No.
[Not a failure at all, human hearts.
Perhaps, as the other suggests, he was wrong, but... humans, they measured, made most of their time; lived between moments and months pressing on, and it's that that's allowed him to answer him calm, same softened sureness embracing each word. There, along currents of stars, drifted hope; humans and universe joined in their wish, and it's splendid, the strength of their light, warm as sun.
Moreover, he'd absolute faith in his friends. Time, it'd continued its stream, not from start.]
It's alright, I think. [Answer again in its firm, gentled strength.] It was time.
[Smiling, a shake of the head in those words.]
It's beginning again, in its own way.

Do you still want to learn how to throw a shuriken? [The question is asked suddenly with no lead up, as was typical of him. Today was fortunately one where he had no missions to complete, and although he didn't know much about entertaining, he thought she might be bored sitting in Yukimi's apartment all day.]
no subject
For once his memories were actually a bit blurry— he remembered the generals of Viginti and a select few people, but the rest? Well he has enough shit to deal with in his head anyway. It does mean though, that he remembers that he promised a certain someone that he would find him again when everything was settled on his end.
There's one problem with all of this though, and that's the fact that Terumi really has no idea where the hell is. And well, he told Ginti when he showed back up he was going to just shout until he showed up, so clearly that will work on this case too, right?]
YO IZZY!!! [ Wait, maybe he should say his full name to make this easier.] YO IZZY MCDOUGAL!!!
[ There, that should work just fine.]
no subject
The place Terumi's landed is a small, quiet village with a large lake nearby - but more important is the familiar face who's nearby too.
Isaac looks younger this time around; the lines on his face are much lighter and he looks like he's actually been able to sleep for the past seven years. He's still got his hair tied back in a ponytail, but it's shorter and missing the stray strand in the front. He's not wearing the military uniform either, which might be the biggest change. He was working on some notes, but he seems to have lost interest in those for the moment.]
Um.
[Ah yes, what a start.]
Uh, the name's Isaac.
[That expression is very familiar, at least.]
