The other timeline
[ It's probably not a good idea to be out so late, but Yoite really wanted lemonade. Naturally Dhaos wouldn't let him venture out on his own so late on a Thursday night, so they're together as they tended to be nowadays.
Though his hearing wasn't great, his eyesight was still as keen as it always was, as was his instinct. So when he senses that something isn't right, he tenses up shifting to a fighting stance.]
...do you feel that?

No. I don't.
[ ... The man can sense many things, but sensing by instinct was an ability that even Dhaos lacked. It was then that the man made sure his moves were cautious as they walked. ]
However, if something is amiss, we should look into it. Carefully.

Oh my god just--[Poland grunts, trying her best to pull her currently conscious but vaguely disoriented victim to where she could finish things up more easily. She whispers angrily, yanking them along more aggressively.] You don't get to come after me and when things go south for you go entirely boneless, screw you.
[It's probably not too late to throw them in a closet somewhere, lock the door and just go back to bed. Of course she did crack them across the head with a chair to get them to this point-- so. Maybe dumping them somewhere unseen was not the best plan. If she was going on trial she should have more control over things than that! ... maybe she should get Lithuania?
Of course then that would be dragging her into this-- Poland doesn't particularly want to do that either.
What a mes--]

Ah...but. She'd been working him for a while now? She wasn't exactly sure if she'd actually been able to win him over to her charms yet.
Solitary stoic types were such a pain... ugh.]
...
[Poland starts to pull in the opposite direction not wanting to risk getting into a confrontation. She knew she wasn't a push over but Dhaos was practically twice her size and the magic thing probably wouldn't help either.
Sensing her fear at being caught in a precarious position, her attacker moans. Loudly.]

...
[ He's just going to look at Dhaos, because this is something he should handle. Still, he doesn't change from his fighting stance.]

He stepped a bit more forward, past Yoite, even if it wasn't needed. The glowing around himself appeared more evident in the night, although it probably also helped to illuminate the position of the injured person.
Dhaos looked at Poland. ]
Explain.
no subject
Um!
[Poland looks from Dhaos to Yoite--who in that stance looked actually outrageous intimidating-- and then immediately back to Dhaos.]
D-dont look at me like that ... they started it!

[ This is probably one of the only times that Yoite is happy that Dhaos is a walking night light, because it affords him a clear view of the other figure with Poland. Or rather, the other man. It's someone he knows all too well even if he wishes he didn't, a certain programmer with a metallic arm and a mouth he couldn't keep shut.
And he just sorta smiles, or what counts as a smile for Yoite, his lips barely turning upward.]
You attack women and children, but I guess I shouldn't be surprised.

His lips twitch for a moment, but remain as they are, allowing his stoic demeanor to be kept... for now. ]
Yes, I can see now how it was plausible.
[ Dhaos nudges the body with his right foot. ]
Is your victim still breathing, Poland?

He came to my room wanting to talk, I sort of figured it wouldn't be about anything positive but I can totally handle myself. [If Rhys was really dead set on trying to kill her, Poland figured she might as well be prepared for it. Also dragging Lithuania into it as an accomplice would do absolutely nothing for her at a trial. So she went with him downstairs.]
I didn't finish him or anything. Just smacked him with a chair to disorient him a bit. [Poland kicks Rhys.] So far anyways.

[ For the time being, he lowered his hand and walked around the assailant turned victim. Foolishly he wanted to do something, but he was sure Dhaos would stop him in no short order. A few seconds wasn't really worth a reasonable chunk of his life force, unfortunately.]
So far. [ And so he continues circling, in an obviously predatory way.]

[ Dhaos has a good amount of restraint so he doesn't kick the body, but he feels good when Poland does. ]
Or we could always give him another beating to ensure he doesn't do anything like this again. But then again, he may just wait until he's healed to strike once more.
